Informative Presentations for Parents/Caregivers & Teens
A number of expert speakers will be giving presentations on a variety of topics from October 2009 until May 2010.

"Type 2 - A Tragic Comedy" is an intense and emotional exploration into the world of bipolar disorder from the perspective of both those who suffer from the illness as well as their loved ones. This live stage performance won "Best of Fringe" at the 2008 Windsor International Fringe Festival and has been booked by the Ontario Psychological Association and the Canadian Mental Health Association - Oxford Branch, because of it's honest look at this illness.
This event took place Sept 11th, but please visit their website or the Brock Centre for the Arts for information on future shows.

Mental Health Week 2009 May 4th-10th
"Now more than ever - invest in yourself"
The Canadian Mental Health Association's 58th Mental Health Week takes place May 4th through 10th. The national awareness week provides Canadians with many opportunities to find out more about the importance of mental health, and how to achieve it in our daily lives. Here in Niagara, events included radio spots featuring local mental health stories, a week long artshow in Niagara Falls and a Flag Raising Ceremony at the Niagara Falls City Hall.
